FAQs

What ingredients do you use in your lip balm?

We used 4 simple ingredients: organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, organic shea butter, and organic essential oils.

Why does your lip balm come in paper tubes?

Many lip balms on the market are made in single use plastic tubes. Because these tubes are so small, they are not recyclable and often end up in landfills.  These tubes can take hundreds or even thousands of years to decompose. Our product is made in paperboard tubes which are 100% biodegradeable.

Why can't I twist my lip balm up?

Because we use paperboard tubes to reduce the use of plastic, our tubes are "push up". Simply push up from the bottom of the tube to expose new product.

Why does my lip balm feel grainy or lumpy?

Our lip balm contains shea butter. Shea butter is comprised of different kinds of fats each of which have a different melting point. When shea butter is melted and mixed, these fats intermingle. When the balm is sujbect to temperture fluctions, the fats separate and can cause a change in consistency of the lip balm making it feel grainy or lumpy. Despite this change, the quality and efficacy of the balm is not affected and it is still safe to use!

To help minimize changes in consistency, we recommend storing your lip balm in a cool dry place such as the refrigerator. This will also help extend the life of the product as well as a provide a nice cool tingle upon application.
